How to Talk About Breast Cancer: I’m Not Good Enough!
Written By on October 17, 2016
Today in a moment of clarity I realized that when I lose sight of what I want to achieve and why is when my self-doubt rears its’ ugly head. What I am truly passionate about is supporting women with breast cancer find their voice so they feel empowered, a little stronger and a little taller as they face the challenges they will inevitably face and that goes for me still – 6 years later!
I implore you – if you are blaming yourself or your circumstances, questioning what your life means or emotionally and physically “running out of gas” now might be an excellent time to find something to empower you. It could be the listening ear of a friend or therapist, it could be an amazing meditation, spiritual practice or a book that speaks to you or it might be a new hobby, business venture or creative outlet that fills you up. The bottom line is to find something to help you get your groove back (or find your new groove). Then for this moment you can get the self-doubt monkey off your back.
Next time I’ll share a couple of my tricks…until then revel in the opportunity to grow, explore and learn about who you are, what you want and what you will do to get it.
